CEO
Armelle
Cloche is the co-founder and CEO of Agogus. An experienced
business professional, she also runs Armelle
Productions and ZParadise
Entertainment. Her background includes degrees from
well-known French universities in management and international
business, including an MBA in Marketing. Armelle was
inspired to start Agogus because of her grandmother
Georgette, who slowly lost her memory over many long,
painful years before finally succumbing to Alzheimer's
at age 88. She remembers how Georgette did not recognize
her for the last seven years of her life. Because of
Georgette's story, Armelle looks forward to helping
every person on the planet age healthy and well. Life
after all, is to be cherished.
Co-Founder & Editorial Director
Emme
Levine is co-founder and Editorial Director of Agogus.
A former teacher, she created content for several well-known
Web sites including CNET and Hewlett Packard. Emme was
recently the editor for the Newspaper In Education (NIE)
in the San Francisco Chronicle. She holds a BA in Psychology
from Rutgers University where she graduated Phi Beta
Kappa. She also holds an MA in Counseling Psychology
and an MEd from Teachers College, Columbia University
in New York City. An avid reader who is now learning
to love puzzles and brainteasers, Emme enjoys delving
into a myriad of subjects to coalesce confusing viewpoints.

Web Programmers
Avraham Maor started his journey into the ocean of Web programming 3 years ago at a Bay Area Video Coalition course. Always the intrepid student, he continues on a self-study basis with a focus on a rich, responsive user experience. Avraham notes, "The Internet is a tool that changes our lives for the better. The challenge of Web programming is to make its content available to all."
Juanita Kindler is currently attending City College of San Francisco in pursuit of certificates in several fields of computer science. She is a recent graduate from the Art Institute of California at San Francisco where she majored in Interactive Media Design. Her passions include programming, Web design and illustration. She also excels as a traditional artist specializing in pencil, charcoal, pen & ink, watercolor and oil painting. She is excited to join the Agogus team and put her varied knowledge to work.

Web Designers & Illustrators
Nan Davenport is an Oakland based designer and illustrator. Nan created the look and feel of Agogus in collaboration with the co-founders. She is a freelancer who especially likes taking on illustration and design work that is educationally oriented. As well as her artistic and design expertise, she holds a MA in Philosophy. As an artist she loves playing with traditional oil painting techniques. She enjoyed music and nature camps as a child and to this day loves camping and exploring California's amazing variety of natural wonders.
Julia Hollas is currently a senior in Mass Communication at the University of Utah. She is quickly learning how to make magic in Web design at Agogus. When not pixelating, she is percolating as an avid dancer, reader and photographer. Julia hopes to transplant herself and bloom in San Francisco after graduation.

Eleonora
Salerno is currently attending the University of
Bologna (Italy) with a major in Economics and Marketing.
After a one-year exchange student experience at the
University of Plymouth (UK), her life changed. Impressed
with the multicultural environment, she turned her sites
on finding a U.S. internship that would enable her to
meet new people, gain work and life experience.
How lucky we felt when she chose Agogus! Although Italy
will always be first, we know she will leave a bit of
her heart in San Francisco too.
Stephanie Dorceant is currently a Junior at Florida State University, where she is passionately pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations and Marketing. Her ultimate goal is to establish a successful Public Relations firm in The Big Apple (NYC), in hopes of one day returning to her hometown a much wiser and successful woman. A Miami, FL, native, Stephanie enjoys the tropical and vibrant atmosphere, whether hanging out at the beach, or at the hottest nightclubs the city has to offer.

Tom Blazejewicz is a senior at the University of Ottawa (U of O), working towards a BA in English with a concentration in Theatre. For the past 10 years, he's been working on his acting career in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, but just before entering the U of O, he realized that his skills in writing and research could be used towards a more promising career as a writer. Between school, performing and outdoor activities, Tom continues to
combine his analytic skills with his artistic imagination in order to express himself in a way that lets him come alive!
Rachel Perez attends UC Berkeley, graduating in Fall 2006. After she graduates, she plans to travel extensively in Japan and Korea, and visit her former roommate. True to her literary roots à la John McEnroe, she lets her racket do the talking when playing tennis and badminton. She also favors that other stringed instrument, her piano. An actual San Francisco native, she whips Agogus content into shape as an Editor.
Lauren Boyle is a recent graduate of the University of Oregon with a B.A. in English. Having passed a somewhat nomadic childhood, Lauren hopes to soon settle in New York City and pursue her triumvirate “crush” on literature, art and film. She aspires to one day parlay her passion for reading into a career in book publishing. Her spare time finds her surrounded by friends and family, going to concerts and mediating friendly word disputes of Scrabble.

Courtney Morgan is slowly moving closer to graduation from the University of Colorado at Boulder, with a BA in English and a Creative Writing emphasis. Over the past six years, she has alternately attended school and traveled. After two years in Central America, she discovered her future home on an island off the coast of Honduras. So to prepare herself for island life, she resides in Denver and writes, camps, hikes, snowboards, and allows herself to dream away in the breath-taking Rockies.
Peter Enzminger attends Pomona College, where he is an English major. Even though he spends the academic year in southern California's smog-choked Inland Empire,
last time he checked, Peter had indeed left a piece of his heart in San Francisco. Peter represents the Pomona swim team in distance freestyle events, his favorites. He also writes for the student newspaper and, although Billy Joel may claim otherwise, Peter did in fact start the fire.
Tara
Gleditsch is a recent graduate from the University
of Illinois with a BA in Rhetoric-Professional Writing.
She currently works at CH2M HILL in Englewood, Colorado
as a document processor and as a freelance writer producing
various genres of text. When not pushing prose around
with a sharpened stick some call a "pencil",
she enjoys yoga, Pilates, music and reading. Tara aspires
to one day "blow this Popsicle stand," work
for a world-renowned publication and publish a novel.

Donna Duffy is a junior at San Francisco State University majoring in Creative Writing. An East Coast native, she loves living anywhere she is able to write and appreciate the scenery. Donna was editor of her high school's newspaper and has been writing ever since she took up the pen in elementary school. She enjoys reading Dostoevsky, playing board games, wrapping presents, listening to good music and watching Golden Girls.
Tony Burton is a software consultant with an educational spin, but his first passion is writing. Academically, Tony holds two bachelor's degrees and a master's, two of those in Education and one in Literature. Tony describes himself as "first and foremost, a communicator", and infuses that into every part of his life. He has worn a variety of hats, including that of a sailor, a teacher, a college adjunct professor, a journalist and an author. He lives in the foothills of the Cumberland Mountains in northwest Georgia, where wild turkeys visit his backyard and the scent of springtime jasmine and honeysuckle fill the air. He is the founder of a budding local writers' guild, the Calhoun-Gordon County Writers' Guild and a contributor to crimeandsuspense.com. We are proud to announce that Tony is a NaNoWriMo 2005 Winner.

Joe Giovannetti is an undergraduate student at San Diego State University where he is pursuing a degree in Journalism. His passion is writing, but his hobby is sports. In addition to writing for Agogus he fulfills both desires by writing at Giants Cove. Joe spends every day learning and living life to the fullest.
Caitlin Evans studies English and Art History at the University of Notre Dame and tends to use any public venue, such as this, to exclaim "Go Irish!" She loves to read, especially her favorite authors, James Joyce and Tom Robbins. Her other hobbies include drawing and painting, swing dancing and pretending she is flexible during yoga class. She is grateful for opportunities to travel and to write about her experiences in other cultures. She is a caring, sensitive Leo who enjoys long walks on the beach. and she can be a little silly.
Tanya Susoev is the Agogus "Calendar Queen": she wrote most of the content for our Calendar feature. A native San Franciscan, she loves the life and culture of the Bay Area. She is an undergraduate student at The University of San Diego majoring in English with a focus in Creative Writing. She is also working toward a double minor in Communications and Peace and Justice studies. She hopes to one day be published as a poet or fiction writer but for now has been very interested in exploring the arts of food and culture. Aside from writing she enjoys a variety of hobbies from cooking and baking to photography, sports and music.
Kathy J. Lee is a recent graduate from NorthwesternUniversity (Evanston, Illinois) with a BA in English Literature and Mathematics. Though she will always hold Chicago dear, for the time being, she has chosen to eschew the land of eternal winter in favor of the spectacular hills of the San FranciscoBay. She has come to realize that writing as a profession involves more waiting tables than she initially imagined. Fortunately, in her spare-time, she enjoys laughing, devouring newspapers, penning screenplays, practicing yoga and rearranging the furniture in her room.

Tony Duarte is the Fu in Fu Manchu. His arch-nemesis is the dangling participle. He has been known to commandeer a cursor and - with complete disregard for his body - toss himself in front of a rampaging stampede of cliches. Tony learned this skill set while receiving a BA degree at Washington State University and terrorized innocent bystanders with it at a variety of corporations including Four Wheeler magazine, CNET and Rivals, where he is currently an editorial director. Sometimes, Tony is super-stylin' in his own mind.
Rhona Sanchez is a recent college graduate with a BA in Politics and Spanish. She resides in Dublin, Ireland but has spent many years living in Honduras. She loves traveling and experiencing new cultures and places, and can't go longer than six months without needing to take a quick trip. Rhona also loves music, writing and anything that challenges her. She plans on going back to college as soon as she can decide what she wants to get her Master's in!
Phoenix Lee is currently a student at Diablo Valley College where she is majoring in English. She studied translation before moving to the U.S. Her career goal is to become a translator or writer. Learning the intricacies of language is her lifelong accomplishment.She says, "Everyone tells me it is really hard for a non-native speaker to master English. I know this road will be difficult but I am confident I can overcome any obstacles along the way. You will never know the outcome if you don't try." Phoenix loves to chill out with her best friends and loves all kinds of sports: "I get in touch with my true self when I am running and sweating. Wild!" She has plans in the near future to travel Europe - "alone."
Rebecca Schonberg is a recent transplant to the West Coast. Born in New York City, she just graduated from CornellUniversity with a BA degree in Comparative Literature. She plans on using her new freedom to explore the city, expand and advance her writing and perfect the art of cooking a pork-chop without drying it out. She will also be working as a copyeditor for a non-profit.

Tina Hom is a recent graduate of Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles with a BA in Communication Arts. Tina worked in the television industry for a few years before heading abroad to live in China, Spain and Germany. After satisfying her wanderlust, she returned stateside to work a multitude of jobs ranging from travel to Web content writing. She is delighted to be back in her home town of San Francisco. Her interests are travel, languages, yoga, running and people watching.
Rachel Snyder, a recent graduate from Sonoma State University, holds a B.A. in English Literature, and no, before you ask, she doesn't want to teach. Aside from her day job as a waitress, she spends her time reading, writing and exploring the beautiful California wine country where she lives. Rachel loves the movies and hopes to someday be a part of that magic.
Zeenat Umar is a senior at San Jose State University majoring in Journalism with a focus on reporting/editing. She is currently a staff writer for The Spartan Daily, the official university newspaper. Born in Pakistan, she has spent most of her life in California, where she currently resides with her family. Zeenat says, "As I journey through this fascinating educational experience, I recognize the immense social responsibility a journalist is entrusted with while contributing to unveiling the truth." Aside from Agogus, she has been published in the online entertainment magazine, Dropline.biz.
Yesenia Rojas will graduate from Florida International University later this year, with a B.A. in English. When she is not at school, she dances classical ballet as a member of Ballet Etudes Co. of South Florida. She also teaches at the company’s school working with young hopeful ballerinas ages 3 to 7. A native Miamian, Yesenia loves the beach, and feels at home with the carefree tropical lifestyle. Some would call her a trendsetter, but she just likes to think of herself as a free soul.
